The Studio Mug is a 400ml ceramic mug shaped wider than it is tall, eleven centimetres long, fifteen wide with the handle, seven tall, and hand-painted with multicolour florals across the body. The wider proportions give the painter more canvas to work with: more flowers, more variation, more visible brushwork than on a standard-sized mug.
Each mug is painted individually. The flowers, leaves, and stems are placed by hand, so the two mugs in a set won't look identical, they'll share a colour palette and motif family, but the painter's hand will read differently on each.
The wide squat shape is built for sitting on a desk through long sessions. 400ml means it holds enough for an actual long drink, a full coffee with milk, an extended chai, a generous tea. The gloss finish keeps the painted flowers alive in light.
A note on how it's made. Each Studio Mug is shaped, glazed, and hand-painted before firing. No stencil, no template. The painter works freehand.
