Painter's Cup, Set of 2, 280ml

The Painter's Cup is a 280ml ceramic mug hand-painted with multicolour florals. The flowers — small, scattered, in pinks, blues, yellows, greens — are painted onto the body of each cup individually before firing. No two cups in a set are identical. They share the same colour palette and motif vocabulary, but the exact placement, brushstroke, and finish differ from cup to cup.

The shape is the standard mug profile — nine centimetres tall, eight and a half across, with a full-grip handle. The interior is plain white.

The finish is gloss, which suits hand-painted work — the paint catches light along the brushstrokes the way watercolour catches light on paper. Matte would flatten the paintwork; gloss lets it stay alive.

A note on how it's made. Each Painter's Cup is shaped, glazed, and hand-painted before firing. The painter works freehand — there's no stencil, no template. This is the rare case where every set of cups is genuinely different not because the manufacturing tolerates variation, but because the painter intends it.
