The Roundabout Salad Bowl, 500ml

The Roundabout is a wide shallow ceramic salad bowl in matte ivory — twenty centimetres across, only five tall. The proportions are different from a typical bowl: wider than it is deep, with a low rim that gives more visible surface area than a steep-sided bowl would.

The shape suits salads, fruit, light pasta dishes, or yogurt with toppings — anything that benefits from being seen rather than buried. 500ml at this depth means a single served portion fans out across the bowl rather than piling up.

The ivory matte finish stays quiet against most foods. Greens read sharper, fruit reads warmer, white yogurt reads creamier. It's a bowl that's deliberately quiet so the food can be loud.

A note on how it's made. Each bowl is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. Small variations in glaze depth and rim curve are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
