Bowl Buddies Medium Bowl, Set of 2, 350ml

The Bowl Buddies Medium Bowl is the middle size in the Bowl Buddies family, fifteen centimetres across, seven tall, holding 350ml. Available here as a set of 2: two matching ivory bowls with hand-painted dark brown rims that trace the top edge.

The ivory base is matte and warm, closer to the colour of warm sand than to chalk-white. The dark brown rims are hand-painted before firing. The contrast between the cream body and the deep brown border is the whole effect.

350ml is the right portion for a single served dish, a bowl of dal, a sabzi for one, a small salad, or a single soup. The pair sized for a couple's daily meal at home or as side bowls in a larger setting.

Each bowl is handmade. The brown rim is painted by hand, so the line thickness and continuity differ slightly across the pair. Stoneware, fired hot.

Handmade in a network of skilled artisan studios. The contrasting rim is painted before final firing. No two pieces are quite the same. That's how you know they were made.
