The Sands Dune Katori is a small ceramic bowl in matte ivory, ten centimetres across, five tall, holding 150ml. The proportions are the classic Indian katori: small enough to nest beside a thali plate, deep enough for a proper portion of dal, raita, kheer, or pickle.
The ivory is the colour of warm sand at dusk, softer than chalk-white, more muted than cream. The matte finish keeps the colour quiet rather than glossy. Against most foods, the bowl recedes; the food takes the eye.
The katori is among the most-used pieces in an Indian kitchen, pulled out for daily thalis, brought out for guests, packed in tiffins, used to portion sweets at festivals. The Sands Dune is built for that role: simple shape, neutral colour, food-safe glaze.
Available in sets of 2, 4, and 6, sized for a couple, a family, or a household that hosts. Each katori is individually shaped and glazed; small variations in glaze depth and rim curve exist between bowls in a set.
A note on how it's made. Each bowl is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. Small variations are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
