The Sands Dusk Bowl is a small katori-style ceramic bowl — ten centimetres across, five tall — finished in matte ivory with a dark brown rim that traces the top edge. The contrast between the warm cream body and the deep brown rim is the whole effect.
180ml is the size for a side dish at an Indian thali — a spoon of dal, a portion of raita, a serving of pickle, a small bowl of kheer. The katori shape is built for that role: small enough to serve alongside a plate, deep enough to hold a proper portion.
The matte finish keeps the ivory soft and the brown rim grounded. Gloss would have made both colours feel more polished; matte suits the everyday utility of a katori.
Available in sets of 2, 4, and 6 — sized for a couple, a family, or a household that hosts. Each bowl is individually shaped and glazed, with the brown rim painted by hand before firing.
A note on how it's made. Each bowl is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. The contrasting rim is painted before final firing. Small variations in rim thickness and glaze depth are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
