Ceramic Vases
Ceramic was the one thing missing from Indian homes. Most of what was available was imported glass or silver, even though ceramic is the traditional vessel for flowers in almost every culture. So the collection was built to sit where a silver vase used to: on the console, the mantelpiece, the dining table. Made from clay, fired at high temperature, and finished in glazes that catch light.
Every vase is handcrafted from stoneware clay and fired twice at up to 1200 degrees Celsius. They are watertight, heavy enough not to tip when loaded with flowers, and sized for the heights of flowers actually sold in Indian markets: tuberose, lilies, roses on long stems, branches from the garden.
What you will find in this collection
- Bud vases (4" – 6") for single stems and dining tables
- Medium vases (8" – 12") for console tables and shelves
- Tall vases (14" – 20") for floor displays and foyers
- Reactive-glaze vases where each piece is one of a kind
- Solid-colour vases in matte and gloss finishes
Every vase is sold individually. Many customers buy two or three in varying heights to cluster. For hotels, restaurants, or offices that need vases in matching sets across multiple tables, see the Corporate Gifting page.
We test our glazes for lead and cadmium release to ISO 6486 Parts 1 and 2 at an NABL-accredited laboratory.
