Ribbed Onyx Pearl Vase, 20cm

The Ribbed Onyx Pearl Vase is a smaller, wider sibling of the Ribbed Silk silhouette. Twenty centimetres tall, six across at the base, with vertical ribbing running the full height and a deep onyx glaze. Where the Silk vase is built for a single tall stem, the Pearl is wider in the body — it can hold a small bunch of stems together, or a low arrangement that doesn't need height.

The ribbing catches light along the ridges and pools the glaze in the grooves, so the surface reads as a series of soft vertical lines from a distance.

The Pearl proportions are dining-table-sized rather than console-table-sized. Lower, wider, more centripetal — it pulls a table together rather than pulling the eye upward.

A note on how it's made. Each vase is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. Small differences in rib spacing and glaze depth are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
