Sands Dusk Dinner Plate, 26cm

The Sands Dusk Dinner Plate is a ceramic plate in matte ivory — twenty-six centimetres across, three tall — with a dark brown rim that traces the top edge. The contrast between the warm cream body and the deep brown border is the whole effect.

The ivory is warm — closer to the colour of warm sand than to chalk-white. The brown rim is hand-painted before firing. Each plate has slight variation in rim thickness and continuity, which the matte finish keeps quiet rather than highlighting.

Twenty-six centimetres is the standard dinner-plate size — a plated main course, a roti-sabzi-dal layout, a continental main with vegetables. The dark rim frames the food the way a picture frame works on a print: it gives the eye an edge to register against.

Available in sets of 1, 2, 4, and 6. Pairs with the matching Sands Dusk Quarter Plate and the Sands Dusk Katori for a complete table.

A note on how it's made. Each plate is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. The contrasting rim is painted before final firing. Small variations in rim thickness are part of the piece.
