Platter of All Trades, 33cm

The Platter of All Trades is a ceramic serving platter — thirty-three centimetres long, twenty-one across, three tall — finished in either matte black or deep purple, with a side handle for one-handed carrying. The shape is a rectangle with rounded corners; the handle sits at one short end.

The black version reads sculptural — light absorbs evenly across the matte body, food reads sharp against it. The purple is deep and saturated, closer to aubergine than to lavender, with the same matte finish that keeps the colour grounded rather than glossy.

Thirty-three centimetres is the size for a served centrepiece — a serving of biryani, a layout of cheese, a row of canapés, a side of grilled vegetables. The handle makes carrying single-handed; the flat base sits stably on a placemat or runner. The platter doubles as a console-table object when not in use.

Available in sets of 1, 2, and 3 in either colour.

A note on how it's made. Each platter is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. Small variations in glaze depth and rim curve are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
