Deep Sea Snack Bowl with Handle, 280ml

The Deep Sea Snack Bowl is a small ceramic bowl with a side handle — seventeen centimetres long with the handle, thirteen across the body, six tall — finished in a deep ocean blue with a gloss surface. It holds 280ml.

The blue is saturated and clear, the kind that reads almost teal in good light and almost navy in indoor lamps. The gloss finish lets the colour shine, which suits a smaller everyday bowl meant to be picked up, used, and put back in the dishwasher.

The handle is the whole point of the form. It lets you carry a hot bowl from microwave to table without a tray. The proportions suit a single portion of soup, a serving of upma, a snack-sized portion of dal.

A note on how it's made. Each bowl is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. The handle is pulled and attached individually before firing. Small variations in handle angle and glaze pooling are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
