Cosmic Ring Black Serving Bowl, 1L

The Cosmic Ring Bowl is a 1-litre ceramic serving bowl in matte black, finished with concentric raised rings that wrap the entire body — top to bottom — like a series of orbits drawn around a central point. The rings are pressed before firing and read both visually and to touch.

The shape is a deep wide bowl: twenty centimetres across, eight tall. The proportions suit larger family-style portions — a full pasta for four, a generous salad, a dal served at the centre of a table.

The matte black absorbs light evenly across the body, but the raised rings create their own shadow lines — small dark grooves between each band that read as graphic from across a room. Gloss would have made the rings glint; matte keeps the bowl reading sculptural rather than shiny.

A note on how it's made. Each Cosmic Ring bowl is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. The rings are pressed before firing. Small variations in ring depth and spacing are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
