The Say Aloe Face Planter is a small ceramic planter with a face — eyes, a small nose, a quiet line of a mouth — pressed lightly into the front of the body. Ten centimetres across, nine tall. The face isn't loud or cartoonish; it sits on the planter the way a face sits on a friend you've known a long time, just there.
In the plum colourway, the glaze is deep — closer to aubergine than to true purple, with a glossy finish that warms the whole face. The features read with more drama in this darker glaze: shadows pool more deeply in the eyes, the mouth becomes more defined.
It is a planter for a single small succulent or a young pothos cutting — the plant becomes the hair, growing out of the top. Drainage is built in.
A note on how it's made. Each Say Aloe Planter is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. The features are pressed by hand before firing, so each face is slightly its own — the eye spacing, the depth of the mouth, the angle of the nose all vary by a millimetre or two between pieces.
