Labyrinth Lines Textured Planter, White
The Labyrinth Lines Planter is a square ceramic planter — fourteen centimetres on each side, fourteen and a half tall — with a textured surface pressed with continuous lines that wind across each face like a small maze. The pattern is the same family as labyrinth carvings on stone, scaled down to a planter face.
The texture is the whole reason for the piece. Light catches the raised lines and falls into the recesses, so the surface reads as a soft three-dimensional pattern rather than as a flat motif. In chalk white with a matte finish, the texture reads most clearly — colour doesn't compete with the geometry.
The square footprint and slightly taller proportions suit a medium indoor plant — a young rubber plant, a snake plant, a small monstera that's been recently potted up. Drainage is built in.
A note on how it's made. Each Labyrinth Lines planter is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand. The line pattern is pressed before firing — small variations in line depth and crispness are part of how a handmade ceramic looks.
