The Elegant Vase, Reactive Olive, 17cm

The Elegant Vase is a round low ceramic vase — fourteen centimetres wide, seventeen tall — finished in a reactive olive glaze that pools and breaks differently across each piece. The shape is sculptural rather than functional-first: it can hold a low arrangement, but the vase itself is the object that earns the shelf space.

The reactive glaze is the entire reason the vase exists. As it fires, the olive deepens in some places, lifts to a softer green in others, and breaks at the rim where the glaze runs thin. Every piece is different — not a manufacturing variation, but the point.

It works empty as a sculptural object. It also works with a single piece of dried branch, a small spray of pampas, or a low cluster of dried hydrangea. It does not work for a tall stem — the proportions are built for sitting low on a console or shelf.

A note on how it's made. Each Elegant Vase is shaped, glazed, and fired individually. The reactive glaze means no two pieces look identical — what you receive will be in the same family as the photograph but uniquely its own.
