Mesopotamian Majesty Hand-painted Bowl, Set of 2, 280ml
The Mesopotamian Majesty is a pair of small ceramic bowls hand-painted with gold geometric detailing on a glossy black base. The motifs draw on the geometry of ancient Mesopotamian art — interlocking diamonds, repeating triangles, fine line borders — painted by hand on each bowl individually before firing.
Each bowl is seventeen centimetres long, thirteen across, six deep, holding 280ml. The proportions suit a side dish or a portioned serving — a small katori-style use rather than a centerpiece.
The black gloss makes the gold pop. The hand-painting means no two bowls are identical: motif placement, line weight, and gold density vary across the pair. They read as siblings, not as identical clones.
A note on how it's made. Each bowl is shaped, glazed, and hand-painted before firing. The painter works freehand. Small variations are part of the piece.
