The Mesopotamian Majesty is a pair of small ceramic bowls hand-painted with gold geometric detailing on a glossy black base. The motifs draw on the geometry of ancient Mesopotamian art, interlocking diamonds, repeating triangles, fine line borders, painted by hand on each bowl individually before firing.
Each bowl is seventeen centimetres long, thirteen across, six deep, holding 280ml. The proportions suit a side dish or a portioned serving, a small katori-style use rather than a centerpiece.
The black gloss makes the gold pop. The hand-painting means no two bowls are identical: motif placement, line weight, and gold density vary across the pair. They read as siblings, not as identical clones.
A note on how it's made. Each bowl is shaped, glazed, and hand-painted before firing. The painter works freehand. Small variations are part of the piece.
