Luxe is where Claymistry puts the pieces that take the longest to make. They are built from the same stoneware clay as everything else in the range, fired twice at up to 1200 degrees Celsius, food-safe, non-toxic, cadmium-free, bone-ash-free. They simply take longer, involve more complex glaze work, and are produced in smaller batches.

This is hand-carved detailing, crystalline glazes that take three firings instead of two, oversized serving pieces meant for the centre of a dining room, and limited-run collaborations with master artisans who have worked with clay for decades. Every piece is photographed on the product page with the details of how it was made, which glaze, how many firings, how long it took.

Luxe pieces are still microwave and dishwasher-safe. Handmade does not mean fragile. It means made with more care, by hand, in smaller quantities.

We test our glazes for lead and cadmium release to ISO 6486 Parts 1 and 2 at an NABL-accredited laboratory.
