Gravity's Grasp Bowl, 1L

The Gravity's Grasp is a 1-litre ceramic serving bowl in matte black, finished with concentric raised rings that wrap the entire body. The rings catch light along their crests and pool shadow into the grooves, so the surface reads sculptural rather than flat — like an optical illusion holding the food.

The shape is a deep wide bowl: nineteen centimetres across, eight tall. The proportions suit family-style serving — a generous salad, a full pasta for four, a centrepiece dal that gets passed around. White rice or yellow dal reads sharper against the matte black than against ivory.

Each bowl is handmade. The ring depth and spacing run slightly differently across pieces — that's how the ribbing settles when it's pressed by hand. Stoneware, fired hot. Heavy enough to feel solid on a counter without tipping.

Handmade in a network of skilled artisan studios. The ring pattern is pressed before firing. No two bowls are quite the same. That's how you know they were made.
