Citrus Sensation Orange Serving Bowl, 300ml

The Citrus Sensation is a small ceramic serving bowl in saturated orange, seventeen centimetres across, five tall, holding 300ml. The colour reads warm rather than electric, closer to the orange of a ripe tangerine than to a highlighter.

The shape is shallow and wide. The flat base lets food spread out rather than pile up. Three hundred millilitres is the size for a single side dish, a serving of fruit, a small salad, or a portion of pasta plated for one.

Each bowl is handmade and individually glazed. The orange catches light slightly differently across the body, deeper near the rim where the glaze pools, lighter at the centre. Stoneware, fired hot.

The colour is the whole point. Quiet white walls, neutral plates, muted runners. The Citrus Sensation is the warm note that makes the rest of the table read crisper.
